Jesse Johnson is a current City Councilmember in the City of Federal Way in addition to working in Workforce Planning Development at Highline Public Schools. He received his Bachelors in Political Science and Masters in Education from the University of Washington. Prior to his current role, Jesse has served in different capacities within the field of education including College and Career Readiness and Family Engagement at the high school and district office level.Jesse is also a member of the Washington Education Association.
As a Councilmember, Jesse serves as the Chair of the Parks & Recreation, Human Services, and Public Safety Committee as well as on the Land Use Committee.He has led in organizing youth forums,supporting the trades and apprenticeships, resource fairs, youth violence prevention and other community engagement events to build the leadership of youth within the city. Jesse is married to Epiphany Nick Johnson, coaches youth basketball and loves to travel with family.
